Its been quite awhile since I wrote anything. There was just too much happening around me. I don't even know where to start. Anyway, life is on the fast lane now. I can't stop time and neither can I pause to take a deep breath. There are so much I wanna write about but yet finding time is like looking for a gold nugget in a river.

Anyway, kept procrastinating and trying to figure out what best to write. Why is the sky blue or why is this done this way and etc. Nah..........it's too boring.

Recently, I try out streamyx combo package on offered. It was a hassle. I never expected it and neither was I up for it. I have heard of many complain and therefore I was taking the initiative to approach TMPoint directly. I thought I go to the source directly and hence save me all the trouble. Man, was I wrong. It took them 2 weeks to have my phone line up and another few days to have my streamyx account activated.

All this after I had make numerous complain, faxes and calls to their call centre. What make me more frustrating in the whole episode was I cannot get a single PIC who can handle my case nor could I follow up with someone I could get a hold on. It was like I was trying to grab hold of a shadow. There wasn't anyone who I could get back to. There was no tele no., no direct contact no. and etc. If was all futile.

If it wasn't because of the internet line which I was desperately in need of, I would had forgone their product. The fact was in my younger days I would had throw a tantrum and blast them to oblivion with my foul language for their inferior product and their monopolistic attitude. However, times have change. I tolerated and had to practically beg and be nice to them so that I could at least still get my line up in less than a month. Mind you, the job itself of installing the line and sending the streamyx in a box to me actually takes no more than 2 days. Taking 2 weeks to do a 2 days job is ridiculous and speaks volume of their efficiency. When the man came to install my phone line, all it takes was just him climbing up the tele pole and connecting the wires to the terminal allocated. He doesn't need to take out any special or heavy equipment. He doesn't need to squeeze his brain out to figure how to connect the wires. Then the height of the pole was just about 6 feet which isn't very high itself and thus does not pose any risk to justify paying RM30 just to connect a single wires.

Bloody hell, if I have known the correct terminal to hook up, I could have just easily did it myself. It was practically a 2 minutes job. He didn't even need to go into my house and stamp his footprint all over my place.

Hell, I thought that was it after he had completed the connection and left. I immediately called up TM at 100 and enquire whether I could pick up the streamyx in a box so that I don't need to waste precious time and making double round. To my surprised nobody knows anything. The people on the line kept putting me on hold and to make matter worst they are only call operator. Therefore what ever problems or services that you require will not be attended by them immediately. Their main function and purpose is just to log down the complain and enquiry that you may have.

Whether there will be people attending to your complaint or feedback to your problem is entirely another matter. I have make numerous call and email their customer service desk, however I only manages to get some good officer out of a slew of bad apples. One that stand out from the rest was Mr.Selvam from Streamyx dept which took the time to take down my problem and also had the guts to keep his promises to call me back as agree. Usually they don't keep their promises and never call you back to follow-up whether the problem had been settle or not.

At the end of the whole experience, I am glad it had all been settle and dusted. Nevertheless, recently I discovered that my tele line had a lot of noises while my streamyx line was turn on. Not sure what was the problem but it couldn't be my hardware nor the connection over at my place. It must been something to do with TM side. Some noise suppressor or filter not inserted at certain point. I have not lodge a complaint yet cause too busy with many things. Hopefully it doesn't take them another 2 weeks. Keeping my finger cross.
