Curiosity, Thoughts and Whatever...

Thought I do a write up on this. I love the park. I like how tidy and beautiful the place is landscape. Before this I thought the park in my area was the most beautiful and most modern considering that it has 2 separate lake, a restaurant, huge area for parking and a fountain. Man, was I wrong. I just love how Metropolitan Park are design. It has 3 separated lane for bicycle, jogging track and a walking track running parallel with each other. To top it all off, the jogging track are laid with those soft compound which you find in international race track event. Its soft blue colour track just attract your attention and hence make jogging much easier. It so nice and fun jogging on it. No ache or pain complaining sore feet as the force and impact of your sore is minimize with a the soft rubbery flooring.

Walking around the park, I notice it is very wide..........comparable to "my" park. However, another stand up attraction was the viewing tower or observatory tower perched high up 5 storey above ground Then there was the small open ground for kite flying and etc. Perhaps its a new area cause I notice that everything from the path way to the trees and bushes are all very well kept and maintain. Pristine clean and tidy which is a rarity in a developing country.

Anyway, I also observed that there was quite a nice kids playground with all the latest and child friendly equipment being used. In addition, while I was there, a gov body was having a family day gathering with tents , table and chairs all setup. During an hour or more there, I manage to see 2 DBKL officer or was it cops riding on horses making patrol around the park. They were dress decently, neatly and presentable which befits a tourist attraction park. I still remember the world famous Hyde Park in central London. If was huge, clean tidy and above all well maintain and run.

Now, I think KMP have a huge potential as a tourist attraction. Perhaps add some water fountain, some fishes in the lake or river (I mean nice good fishes and not tilapia) then it would attract some tourist instead of just joggers and residence nearby. I didn't really get a chance to really run or tour the whole place yet but I saw some nice landscaping with the use of bamboo around the observation tower. I always like landscape with bamboo providing the backdrop and shades to the surrounding area. It is peaceful and the tranquillity can smoothen our emotion. While I was there (both times in the morning), I didn't see any rowdy youth or any of those smooching couples bringing public park a bad name. I mean if you go around some public parks you can find this quite widespread and a common scenario. Hopefully this beautiful place can be maintained for quite some time.

I have lost the urge, the excitement to blog lately. Not that I don't have any interesting subject to brag and bruhaha about but every time I had something interesting, I will always be too busy to sit down to write about. When I finally have the time to sit down to write, I would somehow or rather forgotten about the issue at hand.

So I will just write what fly by my head at the moment.

I attended a friend wedding last weekend. She was a good friend for like approx. 18yrs. Yeah its been long. I have not meet her for awhile and I notice that she had totally change as a person. For the good of course and I am very happy and glad she had finally settle down and to start planning for a family. You see, when we were younger and hanging around and partying till wee hours in the morning she was always very sad and down. She hated herself for her timid physical appearance and felt she was under weight and blah blah blah........u know girls la. Anyway, she was a determine girl and therefore went on a strict regime to put on weight and moving away from home hoping to start afresh and etc. She did a lot of things. She is the most positive person I have ever meet. She will always do what she had promised and always keep her target on track no matter what the obstacle maybe.

To cut it short, she had proven to me she always walk the talk. She was an ambitious and determine person. Once, I try to match make her with one of my good friend Dr.Nerd and it didn't turn out too well. While my friend didn't mind and thought to give it a go with this Dr.Nerd, this Dr.Nerd didn't feel the same way. He was anti social and totally unsporting and rude. She was totally put off and felt offended with this Nerd childish behaviour. Furthermore, he was suppose to be a MD.......a true Medical Doctor. I was standing in the middle and felt sorry for my dear sis. I believe and thought it was the Nerd fault for being so ungentleman. I mean guys have to be open minded, make the first approach and if you are interested then just give some indication and etc. If not then say no thank you, I prefer to remain friends.....blah blah blah la.

But no........he totally cut her off and didn't have the courtesy and etc to give a reply and etc. I was piss off with this nerd at that time. However, as time passes by I slowly come to the conclusion that the matter was between both of them and I should be neutral and not take sides at all.

After more than 10yrs, I think the differences had been put aside. She invited Dr.Nerd to her wedding though she had seek my advice first about it. I thought why not, there is nothing weird about it. After all we are all once very good friends. Anyway, I am glad that everything turn out well for my sis. She was like the Cinderella who found her wonderful prince in shining armour and sweep her off her feet in a white horse.
