NST Cartoon Cariture

Well, I want to talk about this for a bit. I have seen it all. The controversies and the issue at JeffOoi site. I had been an avid fan of politic so was intrigue by the discussion by Mr.Jeff and other blog as well. Another good nice site is at Michelle Malkin. Personally I don't find all the cartoon depiction of Muhammad offending but of course it doesn't give me any right to say this. Therefore I only have the right to say what is on my mine. I have the right to free speech at least on the net.

Going back to the topic, I also find the cartoon caricature in the NST offensive. The way I see it, they at NST were trying to exploit the situation and trying to make fun out of the issue regarding Muhhammad. Surprisingly, Pak Lah is not taking any action at all against NST. Its so obvious everything here in My is so one sided and lop sided if I may add. What kind of world are we living in where justice does not prevail. Its very sad and people ask me why am I not migrating. Well, to be honest cause I'm already use to it. I mean the lifestyle and plenty of family, friends around here.

Perhaps when the time comes, I will give it a serious thought. Just hope that its not too late.

Water water

Not sure anyone notice but there was a foul smell with the tap water since yesterday. At first I thought it was me cause I was sure I smell and the stinking smell just kept coming back. I was suspecting my son who had constipate earlier and probably touch the shit. Most probably he then touch here and there and therefore everyone smell. However late in the afternoon when I took a bath I notice the foul smell stronger and felt like chlorine and etc. My sis-in law thought it was shitty smell while my wife had the same opinion.

When I surf the net at night I came across a blog where this fellow staying in Klang blog about his observation too. So its just not me but the whole Klang Valley are experienceing the same phenomenan. There is something fishy going on with JBA or the processing plant involve. Can it be due to flooding and hence sewarage seeping into the processing plant and etc. Or can it be that something else ......something big happen and they are JBA don't want to dispose of all the water and hence trying to cover their track by pouring in more chlorine and etc. ??? Hope the truth will be out soon.

Flextronic

Went for an interview last night. Was horrendous and pathetic. Not only was it a flop but I was disappointed by my performance. The good point is I don't think the company will ever going to give me a 2nd call. I don't expect it and neither am I looking forward to it. Why ??? Here's a why

1. The appointment was for 6pm and I reach their premises sharp on time. However I was kept waiting for more than an hour because this NPI manager had a management briefing going on. So my question is if he knows he is having a meeting with his other manager's at 6 why can't he fix the interview at another time which is more convenient to him and me. I have attended twice interview with Flextronics and on both occasion its always not on time and usually a one way street. I always thought it was a "willing seller willing buyer" kind of methology. It takes 2 to tango. I want the job and he want a manager. So show respect and intelligence a bit la. Not keeping me waiting and waiting and didn't even apologies or give friendly smile at all.

2. Then came the plant manager who was trying to portrait himself as wise and intelligence with bold loud mouth. What a crap ! Don't know him personally but from what I read (observation) on his personality don't think he has a life. Come on la......you are a plant manager show some humble character and I show you respect. He seem to me a bit abrasive and he claim to be very Americanize. He was telling me how they are result oriented, aggressive and blah ...blah .....blah.......and lastly "we fired a lot of people". Who doesn't know about that, just take a look at all those American companies. Closing plant and shifting production to China and etc is just like mopping the floor. I bet they have a step by step procedure on mopping the floor (a contingency plan and can be executed within 24hrs).

3. Kept referring to Japanese as rigid, follower and don't know how to think kind of people. I mean I myself don't like my bosses but not to that extreme. Japanese have their strong point and we can actually learn a lot from them. We don't need to belittle or look down on anybody. Japanese are detail, hard working, analytical and humble. These are the points I like about them. They can actually go down to the production side and work hand in hand with the operator. Just take a look at Toyota (I'm reading TPM) and make a comparison with Ford or GM. Who's leg is it that's shaking at the moment.

4. Boasting about his plant performance and the revenue per month and etc. Inside me I was laughing cause he thinks that I am that dump. Ask him who is he supplying the hand phone camera module to and he try to avoid the answer by giving a very generalise answer like "All the major hand phone maker". What a joke. As far as I know Nokia is not on their list at all. He's doing Sony Ericsson only and maybe some other European hand phone maker.

5. I had ask around people in the industry and each and everyone told me the same stories. They are stingy, calculative and above all pay is so so only. In fact I had a fresh grad who went for an interview in Flex and he told me he choose Jap than American cause their pay is not as good as here and he never regretted making the choice.

Finally I was glad I left the place as fast as I could. Flextronic is a production factory and that is that. It can only cut cost on the production and trying to roll out and increase efficiency of its production line. No R&D, design or anything exciting going on. I told myself I will never go for an interview in another factory again. Not FLEXTRONIC again.

Politic

Well, would like to talk politic a little bit today after reading the article on study tours. I totally agreed with what the writer was highlighting. Its all common sense and logic but I wonder why the ruling party and its leader are all so blind and ignorant. Its really a piss off. %&^$$^&

How can the councillors go for so called study tour without the taxpayer approval. Its either there are run by trial group/gangster/mafia/secret society or whatever you choose to name it. Think of it. Give it a good thought. Why can't we the citizen and taxpayer vote for our very own council member. I thought we are in a free and democratic country. Well, guess not........its only democratic when the top guy or the rich guy say so. So pathetic and so .............frustating. At times you feel like you are in a jail.

Been quite busy throughout CNY so here's a summary of the activities I had been doing for the past week.

1. Helping the family out in cooking and babysitting my kids
2. Receiving and entertaining guest, friends and relatives to the house.
3. This year manage to see 2 long distance friends who was back from UK and Singapore.
4. Trying hard to make the meeting between my bro and my UK friend work. This was the toughest cause most of my friends are nerd and its like trying to mixed oil and water together. Did my best and the rest just hope it goes well.
5. House visiting some friends and relative was quite tough considering have to juggle between 2 kids and their sleeping schedule and etc. The most I can cope is visiting 2 houses per day not more but can be lesser.
6. Taking my kids to see lion dance troupe around my neighbourhood and etc........not sure why all of a sudden my son are not afraid of those loud noise and roaring lion dance. Its just deafening if you are near the drummer.
7. Attended a wake of a relative during the 2nd day of CNY. Not many people were there, most if not all sent representive or taxi driver for the handling of the condolence donation. Will talk about this a little later.
8. Visited the FGS Dong Zen Buddhist Temple in Banting, Klang. Was very nicely decorated and manage by the temple. A good tourist attraction and for shutter bug to capture some interesting shot. I was hoping to get a good few shots of my own but didn't have enough hands and legs to move around with my 2 kids bugging me all the time.

..........well, thats all temporarily till I upload some photos of my CNY celebration
