Chaos, Gen X & Y, Pride and the Honorable

The company that I have been working in is currently going through some PMS. Why ? Cause the whole place especially their HR system is in a mess. This is just not from me only but from other staff own words. Lately there has been a few cases of staff resigning only to come back after a few month or more than a year. I find this antics amusing and baffling especially for HR concern. Are we a shopping centre where we can come in and go anytime at anyone whim and fancy. Doesn't a big corporation as ours have any pride, rules or procedure to be adhere to. To add salt to the wound, many of them had previously resign to go to our competitor and in fact had pass on their knowledge and system to them. To have quit and go to a competitor and quit again to come back to the same company is like child's play. Are we to trust them since we are an R&D company which pride itself as having the best procedural, standard and information security management control in the world. I am still at a lost. The fact and keyword was he worked for a competitor. If he wasn't working for a competitor then I feel they still have some creditability and responsibility.
Another point I want to raise is on their personality........maturity and IQ. Do they ever think properly before submitting a resignation letter or they just follow where the money trait is ? Its funny how today's new generation of younger kids think, do or lived. There's no more honour ability, responsibility and pride in them any more. Money is doing all the talking. Just follow the money !!!!!
Unless I have taken all this wrongly and looking at this optimistically ...........this might be a case of "The Departed" whereby his previous superior had sent him to work for the competitor as an undercover.........hahaha........the greatest joke of all.
