I read somewhere last week on somebody's opinion with regard to blog advertising. Actually with the entire blogger sphere booming and exploding vertically it is no wonder that the only winner here is the hosting company. Lots of people now are writing articles or rubbish in the hope that they get paid by PPP, Google-Adsense and etc. Blogger places advertisement everywhere in their blog and hope that reader would accidentally click on it. The objective of this tactic is to capture your first impression and your attention. Once your attention is capture, your curiosity and your imagination will lead you to further detail. Most importantly with this new technique, advertiser hopes to make a lasting impression and hope that you will come again to check out more details. What started out as a great idea and purely innocent has took a turn of event. Blog advertisement use to be operated by great minds and creative people are now taken over by unscrupulous and money minded scammers. Yeap, scammers who will email you with loads of ad, deface your site, hijacking your site and etc.

It's common knowledge that if there is a good scheme, sooner or later it would be twisted and turns to become money spinning blood sucker. People always take things for granted no matter what. I can see where all this are heading towards. It's written in the sky.

Just for instance, throughout many years of my surfing, I found that many of the blogs that I frequented are beginning to vanish and disappear from the world completely. It's difficult to maintain a blog. It takes time, money and a good theme to really keep readers coming back day after day. Some started out talking about sex, relationship and etc but then after a year or two fizzle out and ran out of topic. Keeping your blog interesting, fresh and dynamic is very very hard. So far I have only seen a handful out of the many thousand that exist. To me time is a major factor. My observation is that many of this so called bloggers are teenagers and young adult who are single and have plenty of free time on hand. Once they get married and moved up through the many stages of life, time will be like a diamond to all. Precious and rare.

In addition, you can't keep expecting yourself to write explicit sex stuff. It will get bored and stale. Therefore blogs that focus entirely on those sex, explicit stuff will vanishes faster than a bullet. The good sites are usually very well balance and talks about their life, experiences or politics. Come to think of it, for me I think blogging is like writing a diary. It has more personal touch and not so commercialize. I don't work for the money but writing just merely to share thoughts and receive different of opinion. I don't feel obligated to come out with a fantastic article or topic to write about everyday. I don't need to write what the advertiser asks me to. Writing a blog/diary is something like a journalist trying to write a good article from his/her opinion. It improves on your English, your writing style and the overall intellectual mind of a person.

Therefore, if you still see a site standing strong after more than 5 years, I got to say it's a great site and a great blogger. It only takes 2-3 years to know and to separate between the boys with the men .
