Just last week had a gathering with some old friends. Let's called them Doc YDoc VEngineer SEngineer C We were talking about our current share market outlook and on the whole Malaysian economy. A day earlier, AAB gave lots of positive outlook and was bragging about hitting all time high with KLSE index. My friend Doc Y is a regular retail investor. He has been studying all the lower liner stock and blue chip. All of a sudden he told me he is getting worry with the current situation. He observed that all the lower liner stock worth RM 0.50 had been climbing up drastically all of a sudden. The volume it was traded had taken him by surprised and we concluded that it wasn't any major retail investor flocking into the scene but a syndicate playing and making up the market. Just how on earth retail investor can snap up such a high volume of shares ? To make matter worse was the fact that all local papers had been giving out all the good news and not reporting the actual fact. The positive outlook and all those trade value has been hype up. Obviously the papers had been playing to the Government tune. Just how on earn do you explain why suddenly YTL-e shares, Patimas, Iris had all shot up. Its just preposterous. Those stock hadn't been moving actively for the past few month. Rumours has it that WIMAX are going to be awarded to YTL-e. That's just 1 of 3 licences up for grab. As for DIGI, we figure Telenor should just sell off their entire stake and cabut.....run as fast as it could. At more that RM 17.xx per shares Telenor would had make a very handsome profit and get back more that it had invested. The G is not going to be very friendly to investor and tell them..hey sure you can keep all ~69% shares.......don't bother to offload ~20%. Just look at their fail 3G licence application and the subsequent opera play being made. Can you imagine !! The whole industry was expecting DIGI to win the 3G license hands down but no........it was given to a non-mobile company without whatsoever proven success record. Its really a laughing stock to me. The real question for Telenor is can they accept 49% ownership without a controlling voice. The G is definitely want a say in the telecommunication industry. After all, Mr.Tycoon Ananda Krishnan invited AAB to be on his yacht and so called given him the Cobra as a present. You just don't give a million dollar yacht to someone without expecting a favour to be return, right ? Engineer S raise a very interesting point. Since there is a syndicate acting on behalf of someone or parties shoving up the KLSE index, can we expect the GE to be call soon ? When is GE going to be held ? Common sense tell us that in order to win and have big majority everybody needs to be happy. G will make sure the majority of the people are happy and with good sentiment around. Only then will AAB call for a GE. Parliament would need to be dissolve and the GE machinery activated with at least a month long campaigning. However, we agreed that GE needed lots of money and so most probably the component parties will sell off lots of shares and in this way raise the capital for election. Therefore KLSE will be experiencing some see saw effect soon. According to Doc Y, money politic in Sabah during election is very obvious and real. Some of the indigenous people are getting between RM 100 - 200 to vote for them. I don't believe this unless I seen it with my own eyes and with prove but I don't think my good friend will lie to me either. All this politic and GE is really dark and evil. Don't think a Mr.Nice guy can last in Mal politic for long. Its difficult cause we only have limited democracy. Its funny !! Funny that we are still backdated and old with primitive thinking. You want to win, win it with grace and dignity. That to me is the greatest democracy.
